The IAF/ILAC Joint Annual Meetings brings together the accreditation community and their key stakeholders such as the certification bodies, to address the key issues both current and future for the industry.
The IIOC team play a highly active role in the IAF activities over the ten days of meetings. Attending 25 meetings, IIOC is part of groups looking at issues including: certification in a number of fields from food to greenhouse gases; managing the transition to new standards and schemes; auditing practices and peer evaluations of accreditation bodies.
IIOC take leadership responsibility in a number of these activities, including transition, management system certification, communications and the IAF Certsearch database. All the IIOC involvement can be seen here.
As IAF Director representing the certification body associations members of IAF, IIOC Chief Executive Marcus Long chairs the IAF Conformity Assessment Bodies Advisory Committee. This leadership role for the CB members extends into the senior leadership team of IAF itself, being part of the IAF Executive Committee and Board.
The IAF meetings run from 22 to 31 October 2018.
