IIOC member Intertek posts 2017 results, with revenue up 3% at constant currency (7.9% actual). This took revenue to £2,769.1 million.
Of the growth, organic revenue growth was up 2.1% at constant rates, broken down across the three main divisions of Products up 5.5%, Trade up 3.0% and Resources down 8.6%.
With the Products division, Business Assurance delivered double-digit organic revenue growth, with Intertek noting that this growth was generated, ‘as we continue to benefit from the increased focus of corporations on risk management, resulting in strong growth in Supply Chain Audits.’
The mid to long term prospects for the Intertek Products division summarised as, ‘Our Products division will benefit from mid to long-term structural growth drivers including product variety, brand and supply chain expansion, product innovation and regulation, the growing demand for quality and sustainability from developed and emerging economies, the acceleration of e-commerce as a sales channel, and the increased corporate focus on risk.’
