TÜV SÜD 2017 revenue rises 3.6%

IIOC member TÜV SÜD have posted their 2017 results.

Overall, revenue has increased 3.6% to EUR 2.427 billion. This turnover generated earnings before interest and taxes (adjusted EBIT) of EUR 216.7 million, an increase of 7.4% over 2016.

Within the results, the Certification Segment turnover grew by 7.4% to EUR 714 million.

Particular mention is made regarding, ‘positive development was also shown by the Business Assurance Division, established by TÜV SÜD in 2017 as part of the Certification Segment to address the growing need for new security measures surrounding digitisation. “The fact that our cybersecurity services are already contributing to the growth of this division is highly encouraging”, stated the Chief Financial Officer, Dr Matthias J. Rapp, noting that this sends a positive signal for future development in this important area and for TÜV SÜD’s entire rapidly growing service portfolio in the field of digital Transformation.’
